This hungry little mouse was helping himself (herself?) to the freshly planted seeds in the greenhouse. Using a humane trap we apprehended and relocated this specimen (We think is a Reithrodontomys megalotis or Western harvest mouse). Integrated Science We are working on our science fair projects. The fair is on Wednesday, May 21st and will include a time after school for parents to stop by and admire all of the students’ hard work. The Grapeview plant sale will also occur after school on the 21st. Baskets of flowers and vegetable starts, planted by Grapeview students, will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting the school.
Algebra We are preparing for our test on chapter ten and are very proud of our skills in polynomial multiplication and chi squared test interpretation. Spanish
We
are learning all about the verbs “ser” and “estar,” both of which mean “to be”
but are used in different situations. There are six conjugations of each verb
(And that’s just in the present indicative tense!), depending on who the
sentence is about, and the students are working hard to learn all of the rules.
They should all be studying their vocabulary and verb forms nightly.
We now have a total of seven fish in the greenhouse pond and the water lilies are returning with a vengeance after their winter dormancy. Please feel free to email me anytime, about anything, at mrichards@gsd54.org
