HELP!!! We need some volunteers to help with our BLOCK Fest on Wed. May
14th. Set-up (in the gym) will start a little after noon
that day and will be taken down at 3 pm. It is being offered to the
preschool through the first graders. There is a training session on May
12th at the Squaxin Island Child Dev. Center (786-8907) –
or
training will be available right before the activity.
Contact me if you are interested.
We
are running low on healthy snacks…if you would like to bring some for
these hungry little ones, please do. Thanks so much. |
We have received so many
“flat kindergarten” postcards already. We have had cards from as far
away as Iraq, Paris and Alaska. This has been such a great opportunity
for the kids to learn about far away places. Thanks so much. We will
be ending the project on Thursday, May 8th. If you would
like your flat kindergartener’s journal read, please send it no later
than that date.
We are
using a different format for our reading period and will be focusing
more on having the kids read together and to the adults. If you would
still like to volunteer, please feel free to come during the
9:30-10:30am time on Monday through Thursday. The kids will love having
someone to read to and show off all that they have learned this year in
reading.

Amber
Clifford has offered to drive some of our chaperones for the May 16th
field trip to NW Trek. If you would like to join her, please either
contact her or me. The bus is going to be so full with all the
chaperones, kindergarteners, and first graders that it will be a very
tight fit…if at all. Please consider car-pooling if at all possible.
Let me know if you would be willing to drive and I will put the word out
to the other chaperones. We really appreciate all your help on this.
You truly are such great parents and grandparents to help us like this.
Thank you!!!
Our
current fund-raiser is for the Parents Club Auction on June 7th.
We have some really great things in our basket. If you have new items
you would like to donate for kindergarten’s KITCHEN theme, please drop
them off in our room in the bucket by the door. All of the funds raised
go back to your school. Thanks to those who have donated already. |

Please make sure your
child still has warm clothes. The sun may be shining, but it can still
be very chilly out there.
Please
remember to contact the office is your child is absent, either by a
phone call on the day they are absent or a note when they return.
Thanks. |
